UHS-II card reader
Read SD and microSD
at UHS-II speed.
A fast card needs a fast reader. The IMPÓSABLE IMP345 is a compact 2-in-1 reader for SD and microSD with UHS-II on both slots, connected over USB-C.
What is UHS-II, and why does the reader matter?
UHS-II is the faster bus interface of the SD standard (from SD 4.0). You recognise a UHS-II card by the second row of contacts on the back. Those extra contacts are only used when the reader has them too: in an ordinary (UHS-I) reader a UHS-II card works, but without the extra bandwidth.
If you shoot RAW or film in 4K, copying through a UHS-I reader runs into the limit of that interface. A UHS-II reader removes that limit — the actual speed then depends on the card and on the port of your computer.
Two slots, readable at the same time
The IMP345 has one slot for SD and one for TF/microSD, both with UHS-II and both readable simultaneously (dual reading). Copy an SD card from your camera and a microSD from your drone or action cam in one go, without swapping cards.
The connection is USB-C. Full specifications are on the IMP345 product page; to find out which reader fits your cards and devices, read the card reader buying guide.
When is another reader the better choice?
If you work with CFexpress or XQD, or want eight formats in one device: the IMP399. If you mainly read the card on an iPhone or iPad with a Lightning port: the IMP440, with Lightning, USB-C and USB-A on the same cable. The whole range is under all card readers.
